Hogwarts
[ ]Headmaster's Office
The entrance to the headmaster's office at Hogwarts is behind a statue of a gargoyle on the seventh floor. When given the proper password, the gargoyle will leap aside, and the wall behind it will split into two to reveal a spiral stone staircase that moves like an escalater.

The password will always be a "Harry Potter" sweet. Rhe password will be changed every month but only staff will know it. A student will be given the password if permission by the headmaster.

[ ]Gryffindor Commonroom (2 sub-boards)
The entrance is located behind a large painting of a Fat Lady in a pink silk dress. If you know the right password to tell her, she wings open to reveal opening in the wall. The commonroom conatains lots of squishy armchairs, a fireplace, and tables.

There are two stair cases opening off the commonroom into the tower itself: The boy's staircase, on which the seven boys dormitories are located ( one for each year.) The girls is the same, only they have a magic spell so when any boy steps foot on the top three stairs; the stairs transfigures itself into a stone slide.
00
[ ]Slytherin Commonroom (2 sub-boards)
The Slytherin common room is a low-ceilinged, dungeon-like room with greenish lamps and chairs. It is located under the lake.
00
[ ]Hufflepuff commonroom (2 sub-boards)
Accessed through a still life painting found near the kitchens; to reach it, you enter a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there. Although it is therefore at dungeon level, it is "as dissimilar as possible" from the Potions classroom. As we have seen in the other common rooms, it is decorated in House colours, which in this case means that there are lots of yellow hangings; like Gryffindor Tower, it has a lot of comfortable armchairs. There are "little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops"

00
[ ]Ravenclaw commonroom (2 sub-boards)
Ravenclaw Tower, which is located on the west side of the castle entrance is a door at the top of a tightly winding spiral staircase that leads up from the fith floor. The door has neither handle or keyhole, but a talking bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Rather than asking for a conventional password, the knocker will ask for a question; if answered correctly, the door will swing open.

The common room, like the other house common rooms, decorated in the House colours (blue and bronze silk wall hangings, in this case, and a midnight blue carpet decorated with stars.) The room is wide, circular, and very airy, with a dome ceiling painted with stars, and walls with graceful arched windows that provide a spectacular veiw of the surroudning mountains. There are bookcases, tables, and chairs, and opposite the entrance is another door leading to the dormitories. Besides this door is a plinth on which stands a life-size statue in white marble of Rowena Ravenclaw wearing her diadem.

Hogsmeade
[ ]Zonko's Joke Shop
Zonko's is a favourite place for Hogwarts students to shop. They carry "jokes and tricks to fulfill even Fred's and George's wildest dreams," including Dungbombs, Hiccup Sweets, Frog Spawn Soap, and Nose-Biting Teacups (PA14). During the dark time of 1996 and 1997, Zonko's closed and was boarded up. Fred and George visited Hogsmeade with an eye toward possibly buying the premises and turning it into a Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes (HBP18), though at least right away, this didn't happen.
00
[ ]Three Broomsticks
A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is packed every time Harry goes in, and is a great spot to drink butterbeer (PA10), although they also serve firewhisky (GF25), gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella (PA10). The owner of the bar is Madam Rosmerta, who Ron enjoys watching (HBP12, at least when she's not under an Imperius Curse (HBP27).
00
[ ]Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop
Located on the High Street; Hermione bought a black-and-gold pheasant-feather quill there in October 1995
00
[ ]Post Office
The only wizarding post office we ever hear of, where at least three hundred owls, from Great Grays to tiny Scops ("Local Deliveries Only"), wait to carry messages. They sit on shelves that are color-coded, depending on how fast you want your letter to get to its destination. It is also referred to as an "owl office"
00
[ ]Madam Puddifoots
A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located ust off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.
00
[ ]Honeydukes Sweetshop
A sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable". In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends .

Down in the cellar of the shop, amidst the boxes and wooden crates and known to only a select few people, is a trap door in the dusty floor - which opens to reveal a secret passageway to Hogwarts.

00
[ ]Dervish & Banges Magical Equipment
Shop that sells and repairs "magical instruments and stuff," according to Ron, including Sneakoscopes. It is located near the end of High Street.

00
[ ]Hog-Head pub
A rather shady pub managed by Aberforth Dumbledore.
00
[ ]Hogsmeade Station
A "tiny, dark platform" where the Hogwarts Express ends its journey north from Platform Nine-And-Three-QuartersPS6). The station is located near the lake, and from there a road extends around the lake to Hogwarts Castle. The station is actually quite a distance from the town itself, being on the opposite side of the Hogwarts grounds
00
[ ]Gladrags Wizardwear clothing
Clothier, with additional shops in London and Paris. Harry visited the shop in 1995, to pick out the craziest socks he could find as a present for Dobby.
00
Diagon Alley
[ ]Magical Menagire
A very crowded pet store, noisy with the sounds of all the animals, where Hermione bought Crookshanks. The proprietor is a witch who wears heavy black spectacles. She offers advice and sells things like rat tonic. Other creatures for sale included:
„X enormous purple toads
„X gigantic tortoise with jewel-encrusted shell (probably a Fire-Crab)
„X poisonous orange snails (Streelers?)
„X a fat white rabbit that changed into a top hat and back
„X cats of every color
„X noisy cage of ravens
„X custard-colored furballs (probably Puffskeins)
„Xsleek, black rats, rather more intelligent than normal rats

00
[ ]Madam Malkin's Robes for All Accasions
Though far from the only wizarding clothier around, Madam Malkin's seems to be the best, as it is the place where most Hogwarts students purchase their robes. Madam Malkin herself is a friendly, squat witch (PS5), though she seems a bit out of touch at times and got flustered when Draco Malfoy confronted Harry in her shop (HBP6).
00
[ ]Gringotts
the entrance to Gringotts, and it leads into a small entrance hall and another set of doors. Engraved on these silver doors are the words:

Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there. (PS5)

00
[ ]Gabol & Jabes
Gambol & Japes
joke items
This shop, a favorite of Fred and George, sells a wide variety of tricks and practical joke items. The twins bought Dr. Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start, No-Heat Fireworks here in 1992 (CS4), though of course four years later they were a direct competitor with their own joke shop, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, just down the road (HBP6).

00
[ ]Flourish & Blotts
A large wizarding bookshop filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling, Flourish & Blotts is the primary - and perhaps only - supplier of textbooks for Hogwarts (PS5), though of course that's far from all they sell. The shop holds occasional book-signings, such as when Gilderoy Lockhart stopped by in 1992 (CS4), and sells books via owl (HBP11) in addition to books purchased in-store. They also take advance orders for books that are in high demand, such as The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore (DH8).

00
[ ]Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour
An ice cream parlor with outdoor tables, where Florean Fortescue served Harry free ice cream sundaes and offered advice about medieval witchcraft for a report he was writing
00
[ ]Eyelops Owl Emporium
A dimly lit shop which, according to the sign, sells tawny, screech, barn, brown, and snowy owls. Hagrid bought Hedwig here for Harry's eleventh birthday on July 31, 199. Harry also returned later to buy owl nuts - a favorite treat of Hedwig's
00
[ ]Daily Prophet Headquaters
Daily Prophet offices
newspaper publisher
The headquarters of the Daily Prophet are located in Diagon Alley, as the newspaper instructs that letters to the editor should be sent here by owl

00
[ ]Cauldron Shop
cauldron shop
cauldrons
This shop, the closest one to the entrance from the alley behind the Leaky Cauldron, sells all sorts of cauldrons. Outside the shop, a stack of them shines in the sun, under a sign that reads:
Cauldrons
All sizes
Copper, Brass, Pewter, Silver
Self-Stirring
Collapsible

00
[ ]Apothecary
The Apothecary is a fascinating shop crammed with all sorts of interesting things. There are barrels of slimy stuff lined up on the floor and jars of all sorts of powders, herbs, and the like along the walls. Bundles of feathers, fangs, and claws hang from the ceiling. The whole place smells very bad, a mixture of bad eggs and rotten cabbage. The name of this shop in the films is Slug & Jiggers Apothecary.
